She’s in the LTAC

Filed under: Doris Update — by thepluckygastronome @ 7:18 pm

Last night, Doris was moved from the UHosp. to a LTAC facility about 10 blocks away. She is settling in and working with the PT staff on her strength program. Dina will visit her later this evening and I understand (among other necessities) will be dropping off Doris’ cell phone. (Yippee!)  Best time to call is late afternoons. Doris says if she doesn’t pick up, she’s out walking the halls for exercise…  Everybody better get out of the way–she’s a lady on a mission!

  1. Thank you, Echo, for sharing with Doris’s book club. The Book Club.
I really enjoyed your blog and learned a great deal. So good to know more about the great guy you are married to. We have loved your family for many years and remember having you come to our house for FHE. Lots of water under the bridge. Please continue to keep us up to date on you and on your Mom. May the Lord bless all of you.
    Love, Ann Mineer

  3. Echo, I LOVE that picture of you! You look great! A bit “star trek-y,” but I LOVE IT! You look so cheery and it makes me feel better about how you’re doing. Less scared for you. Still praying, but less scared.

    Love!
